Biomechanics of Combat
An online course in movement biomechanics for martial arts and combat sports
Built by Ján Samuel Lupták + Martin Bosý
Martin Bosý isn’t the kind of coach who counts sets. He takes movement apart down to the physiology: how the body generates force, how it holds rhythm, how it connects things that seem unrelated. He came out of Fighting Monkey, co-led the Grappling Development project, coaches freestyle wrestling professionally under Jozef Lohyňa and has practiced Tai Ki Kung for years. He also holds a master’s degree in physiology and ethology. Today he’s one of the main coaches on our MMA team.
“He turned my whole understanding of fighting upside down. He sees connections where others see only separate things. To me, he’s Gandalf.”Ján Samuel Lupták
Most fighters train like barbarians, without understanding. You’ll learn where power in the body really comes from.
